Park Sainte-Marie is the second largest park in Nancy (Ref. 8). "The park Sainte-Marie hides varieties of splendid oaks and many other rare plants. It also hosts that annual "Nature in Festivities" event in the first weekend of May which represents the largest plant market in the region (Ref. 2). "This park was awarded the "Tourism and Handicap" labels in 2007 and "Outstanding Garden" in 2010" (Ref. 1). "An old Alsatian House , created for the International Exhibition of the East of France in 1909" is conserved within the park (Ref. 8).

Implementation activities

"A sound beacon is present in the park to the person visually impaired and allows them to learn the recognition of bird songs with a remote control." (Ref. 1) The Nature in Celebration is held in this park every first week end of May: "An event around nature, with animations, horticulturists, landscapers, nurserymen, florists, artisans..." "Nature in Celebration will be the occasion to present the brochure of the service of the Parks and Gardens "Recognize the trees"" A "Seeds of Citizens" bag will be offered, so that visitors can sow in their garden a small meadow floral with wild flowers. Citizen seeds will also be sown on Saturday by gardeners and citizens, in the pine massif located near the playground" -Creation of a planter: the gardeners of the Parks and Gardens department advise visitors, and the city of Nancy offers the necessary soil for the planting", "the Grand Nancy organizes a restitution of compost to the inhabitants during the duration of the event" (Ref. 3) -"The diversity of plants, shrubs, flowers and local products , contribute to all the richness of this meeting, while respecting biodiversity" (Ref. 3). -"an old Alsatian House , created for the International Exhibition of the East of France in 1909" is located in the park (Ref. 8). -- Highlighting their knowledge - make and guarantee plants produced regionally.
