The first external green wall in the public space in Poland was installed on the surface of a 30 square meters wall of the Infobox building in Gdynia [1,2]. The project serves aesthetic purposes and aims to improve air quality. The wall was composed of the plants suitable for the Polish climate conditions [3].

Implementation activities

Building two external green walls on the surface of 30 m2. The planting pattern was made in the form of boxes in various shades of green [1]. Specification of the green wall installations from the Greenarte company website, which implemented the project: Standard panel size: 50x50 cm; System depth: 20-35 cm; Planting density - 64 pcs / m2; The weight of the system (fully hydrated with plants): 150-200 kg / m2; Plant panels filled with specialized soil substrate; Automatic irrigation system (connected to water supply or closed circuit water) [3].
