A 1.96-hectare insidious unused land in the District 2 of Bucharest has been transformed into a modern park through a project funded by European funds. The project was selected in the top 100 Regional as an example of good European practice.Initially, the park was a storage space for household waste (1, 3).

Project objectives
1. Increasing the quality of life and the degree of social cohesion, by improving urban infrastructure in Sector 2 of the Bucharest Municipality - neighbourhood "Ion Creanga" (2);
2. Improving environmental protection of the surrounding area (2);
3. Supplementing green spaces in the area by offering a place of refuge in heavily populated urban areas (3);
4. Revitalizing the city (1);
5. Reduce disparities between the Ion Creanga area and more developed parts of Bucharest (9);
6. Giving a chance for better connections between the Roma community and other residents (9).
Implementation activities
1. Landscaping, sanitation of the location, removing degraded vegetation (1)
2. Infrastructure works were carried out in the amount of 80% consisting of water supply networks, public lighting network, grid

3. Installing bicycle tracks, a skate park platform, multi-sport grounds (692 sqm) (2)
